What’s the Deal with fundraising?

We want you on our Journey as much as you want to be there! That’s why we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to raise the funds you’ll need to join us. The money will go directly to your bank account so you can pay for your trip with the help of your family and friends. Before you know it, you will be renovating a school in Nicaragua alongside us!

Do you want to have an adventure of a lifetime?

Do you want to help others and see your impact first-hand?

Do you have concerns about paying for your Journey?

If you answered yes to any of these, then you are the perfect candidate to begin a fundraising campaign for a Spring Break Journey!

Fundraising for your Journey is simple:

Step 1. Choose your Journey. Our Spring Break Journeys in Nicaragua: March 3-10 or March 10-17

Step 2. Set up an account on Fundrazr.com.

Step 3. Set up your WePay account. After you’ve made your Fundrazr account, you will get an email with follow up information you will need to supply to WePay. This is how the donations will get from the donors to your bank account. AKA - it’s very important!

Step 4. Create your campaign! Don’t worry, we’ve got most of this done for you. Here is a document with information you can copy and paste into your campaign. Feel free to use as much or as little of it as you like.

Step 5. Share your campaign with your friends and family. Spread the word and raise some money!

Step 6. Depart on the trip of a lifetime.

We’ll be here to help you through the process, let us know if you have any questions!

TIP #1:

Don't wait! The further out you set up your campaign to the Journey, the easier it will be to raise the funds in time. Give yourself plenty of time to get your site up and get the word out.

TIP #2:

The most successful campaigns utilize visuals. Use personal photographs and pictures taken from the area from the Journey destination. Make sure you have photos in your campaign, and most importantly, add one to your Fundrazr profile so your friends and family know that it’s you! Also, consider making a video explaining why you want to go on a Journey, how people can support, and how their money will help! (Here’s a little example.)  If you do all these things, you are much more likely to get donations.

TIP #3:

Share, share, share! Social media is your best friend. The bigger the audience you reach, the more successful your campaign will be.
