We have partnered with Techo to build homes for families living in unfit, and unsafe living conditions. We will build alongside local volunteers and the families receiving the homes, share meals cooked by the families and pass over the keys in a closing ceremony.

On this Journey we will be traveling in hostel-style accommodation. If you are booking 'shared occupancy' you can expect bunkbeds or twin singles in dorm style lodging. If you prefer private lodging or are traveling as a couple, 'single occupancy' is also available. We selectivity choose hostels that embody the modern traveler. That means, co-living, co-working, on-trend properties, with direct access to beach, mountains or jungle. The properties offer daily yoga, excursions, as well as lounge, dining and bar areas set up as a home away from home.

We have partnered with Glasswing International for an Extreme School Makeover. We will embark on a two-day renovation project, where we work alongside the community + students to revitalize a local school in an underserved neighborhood from start to finish. Glasswing's philosophy is to foster change by investing in a community’s existing strengths and resources – its infrastructure and its people.
Journey’s implementing partner TECHO works in 19 Latin American countries building transitionary homes and empowering communities to become self-sufficient. Families are selected through an application process, and put forth a portion of the cost of the home. We work alongside these families for 2 days and conclude with a ribbon cutting ceremony presenting the finished home.
