This is a 5-day immersive impact adventure, with connection at its core. We will spend 2 days building homes for families living in impoverished conditions in rural Costa Rica. Then, we head to a hostel beach lodge where we process the work and dig in to connection with ourselves and each other. We meditate, do yoga, dance, share beautiful meals, and explore the idea of how we will live with purpose in our everyday.

HOW WE BUILD:
Journey’s implementing partner TECHO is a 20-year old nonprofit that has built over 100,000 housing units by mobilizing over 800,000 local volunteers. The families who receive the homes are selected through an application process, in which they pay for and put forth a portion of the cost of the home. We build alongside local Techo Volunteers and the families receiving the homes over the course of two days.
TECHO works in 19 Latin American countries and ensures the sustainability of the new homes and the well-being of the community.
10% of Journey tickets support the impact project.
- Building supplies: hammers, shovels, tubing, levels, measuring tapes, etc.
- Materials for home: paneling, roofs, locks
- Food for shared meals on build site
- Ribbon cutting materials
- Small gift for family

LIMON, COSTA RICA
Stretching along the Caribbean Coast, Limon is considered to be one of the most pristine and lush regions of Costa Rica– think white-sand beaches lined with coconut trees offering the ultimate tropical paradise. It is also one of the country's most geographically diverse regions, featuring everything from mangroves wetlands to towering mountains. We will be building homes in this region, and then settling into the integration location nearby. We will fill our days with adventure, outings, yoga, surfing, workshops and much more.
